Press Release

Raising the Bar

2 November 2004

The Legal Services Commission is pleased to announce that York Chambers has become the 100th firm of barristers to obtain a quality mark for its services.

The Quality Mark for the Bar provides assurance to clients seeking legal advice. It means that the holders provide excellent service and have a commitment to client care.

Visiting York Chambers today, Clare Dodgson Chief Executive of the LSC said, "I hope that the 100th Quality Mark for the Bar award stimulates further interest in chambers to apply for the quality standard and that this award becomes recognised by all chambers and their clients, as a commendable recognition of quality of service.

"The Legal Services Commission continues to receive new applications for the standard every month and we look forward to celebrating the award of the 200th Quality Mark for the Bar."
