About Focus on CDS
Focus on CDS was a supplement to Focus for criminal practitioners. It last appeared in October 2007. The publication has now merged with Focus and the first unified publication appeared in November, 2008.
A typical issue of Focus on CDS contained an overview of changes taking place including details of key publications and developments. In future all suitable content will go into Focus.
Decision to move Focus on CDS online
The decision to switch Focus and Focus on CDS from print to an electronic format was taken in response to concerns raised during past surveys. These concerns were about the high cost of producing and posting a magazine – and requests to make it more frequent.
The simplest and most cost-effective solution was to transform Focus and Focus on CDS into an electronic publication. Issue 57 of Focus is the first to be published as an online publication.
Thank you to the many people who took part in the recent reader survey. Your views will help to shape the redesign of Focus, which is now due to take place early in 2009.
Keycard 44a
Keycard 44a (CDS Financial Eligbility) is available from this website, at CDS > Criminal legal aid eligibility.
In the past this was usually published in Focus/Focus on CDS. But the changes to our publications mean that the Keycard is only available online this year.
