Preferred Supplier scheme
The Preferred Supplier consultation 'Quality Relationships Delivering Quality Outcomes' ended in June 2006.
Since then we have analysed the 117 written responses and 800 event feedback sheets to develop the proposals for a Preferred Supplier scheme to secure:
-
consistently higher quality services for clients
-
better value for taxpayers
-
simpler and clearer relationships with legal aid service providers.
We thank all those who took the time to attend an event or produce a written response.
The LSC published 'Quality Relationships Delivering Quality Outcomes. The Preferred Supplier Scheme: Response to Consultation' on 18 December 2006.
The report is under Related Documents. It summarises the headline consultation responses and details how the consultation process has influenced the further development of the proposals to shape the final policy.
A single impact assessment has been conducted for the Preferred Supplier Scheme and our Way Ahead report. This is available on the Legal Aid Reform: the Way Ahead page.
More information is on the Preferred Supplier pages of this website.
