Provider training pack
This pack helps providers prepare for the new civil fee schemes and is under Documents. An update to the pack following feedback is also under Documents. Please insert at Section A.
The pack includes information on:
- planned training events
- developments to online services
- the new fee schemes
- new forms and ways of reporting
- worked examples.
New guidance for payments on account
We are reviewing outstanding payments on account. Making reports on older cases can be difficult if:
- the file is no longer available
- a practice has merged or been taken over by another.
We’re introducing new procedures to help practitioners either
- submit a final claim for costs
- make a report on case.
We have jointly agreed this guidance with The Law Society. See Documents for the procedures.
Presentation on civil fees
We held training sessions on civil legal aid reforms in Sep 07. The presentation is under Documents and covers:
- family fee schemes
- Funding Code changes
- how to claim fees
- online services
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
How civil fees are calculated
Visit the CLS>Pay rates and schemes pages for full details of the fee schemes including:
- regularly updated Q&As on each fee scheme
- a document showing how the fees were calculated.
Training events
We are holding training sessions for mental health providers in late November/early December to help prepare for the new contract specification. The events are free and lunch is provided. Read more details about training sessions on the CLS>News & updates pages.
