About Directions
Directions is produced free of charge for people working within the legal advice sector. It is also of interest to:
- local authorities
- government departments
- primary care trusts
- other agencies that share a similar agenda to the CLS.
It aims to:
- inform those working within the CLS of new policy developments
- increase understanding of the CLS's work and network
- raise awareness of the legal problems faced by clients in real life
- explain where the CLS sits within the context of the LSC's work and government policy.
A typical issue will contain:
- new LSC policy directions for the CLS
- national news and developments relevant to the CLS
- examples of best practice and lessons learnt from acts of advice and assistance, preventative work as well as information and education
- reports on and articles from other agencies that share an agenda with the CLS
- invitations to tender for projects and respond to consultations.
