I am pleased to announce that we have published our Strategic Plan – Transforming Legal Aid – and you can now read the plan on this website.

Transforming Legal Aid sets out our direction as we move from being an organisation that administers legal aid towards one that procures high quality, good value services for our legal aid clients.

It outlines our strategy, including our 3 key strategic objectives and how we plan to achieve them. We also state clearly our vision and values.

Some of the key themes this year are:

• our commitment to working closely with our providers and their representative bodies so we understand the impact of the reforms on them and their businesses
• our aim to join up services for our clients so they can access what they need more easily and locally
• our move towards e-business and more efficient ways of working. 

I hope you will all find some time to read the plan – but if you can avoid printing it out that will help towards our target on paper reduction!
